Vans joins forces with one of the world’s foremost museums devoted to modern and contemporary art, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), in a special edition of shoes and apparel this fall. Now you can wear your favourite Artist’s work.
The Vans x MoMA collection is a two part series that will be released in September. The collection will feature prominent artists including, Salvador Dalí, Vasily Kandinsky, Claude Monet, Edvard Munch, Jackson Pollock, Lybov Popova, and Faith Ringgold.
The first of two launches will debut with Salvador Dalí, Vasily Kandinsky and Claude Monet, followed by a second artist release this November — a reflection of the diversity of MoMA’s collection.

Dali’s iconic, ‘The Persistence of Memory 1931’, has been interpreted on to the lateral panels of the Vans Old Skool Twist. In keeping with the Surrealist artist’s inverted perception of reality, the shoes feature a distorted foxing stripe. Vans long sleeve and pullover apparel completes the look.

Kandinsky, a pioneer of abstract art, believed that both colour and form evoked power and emotion independently. ‘Orange 1923’ Vans’ Slip-On celebrates the artist’s fascination with these abstract forms and signs.

Rounding out the initial series is a Vans Authentic covered in the masterful Impressionist Monet’s ‘Water Lilies’. The ‘Water Lilies’ document the ever-changing French countryside, works made from 1914 to 1926 in Monet’s later years at his home in Giverny.

It will also include a colourful interpretation of Van’s classic checkerboard across the latest ComfyCush Old Skool and Era silhouettes.

To spark creative expression of children, there will also be a kids collection that will allow customization of their shoes.
You’ll be able to shop the initial assortment from Vans and MoMA at Vans.com, Vans retail locations, MoMA Design Store locations, store.moma.org, and select retailers beginning September 30.
